Lyman created his first batch of Maple Mountain Syrup on the wood-fired arch of the sugarhouse in Albany, VT in 1991. Today, more than 30 years later, the business has remained family-run by nothing but his incredible passion for sugar making that has ensured the business continued to thrive as a sole proprietorship. Lyman Gilman remains the sole operator of Maple Mountain Sugarhouse along with his family who are just as enthusiastic about making sweet and healthy maple syrup for everyone.
